National Grief Support Organizations
Connecting with others who have experienced a similar type of loss can be an essential part of healing. Many national organizations offer local chapters or online services to support you. We’ve curated a list of groups specifically designed to help those who are grieving the loss of a loved one. These resources can provide the understanding, comfort, and connection you may need right now.
A Brief Exploration of Grief
This booklet was designed to give you a short overview of some of the common physical and emotional aspects of grief. Presented in an easy-to-read format, it offers clear, helpful information to demystify the grieving process and normalize what you may be experiencing.
End-of-Life Planning for Yourself or a Loved One: A Simple Guide for Before and After a Loss
This booklet was created as a checklist filled with details that can be done prior to a death or after someone has died. When you are unsure of what you need to do, this can be a valuable resource and guide.
Bandages for Your Heart
Grieving is a deeply personal journey that can feel overwhelming, confusing, and isolating. Our grief support articles were written to offer guidance, comfort, and understanding as you navigate this challenging time. Each piece is written with care to help you feel seen, supported, and a little less alone.
Whether you’re looking for practical advice, gentle reassurance, or simply a reminder that what you’re feeling is normal, we hope you find something here that speaks to you. Please know you don’t have to walk this path alone.
Healing Hearts: Grief Video Library
Here you’ll find a collection of compassionate, informative videos addressing many aspects of grief. Each short video is thoughtfully created to support and guide you as you navigate the often-bewildering journey of loss.
Our library offers resources you can watch at your own pace, whenever you need them. We invite you to explore these videos and discover the topics that resonate most with you.
Reading Lists
Many people find it helpful to read books written for the bereaved. Members of the Healing Hearts Grief Support Group have made suggestions of books they found to be helpful.
If you are looking for some reading resources to help grieving children, we have compiled some options to help you find books that may provide guidance and understanding for them.
Memories
There is so much more to a person’s life than their date of birth and when they died. It is everything that happens in between that becomes a treasure to future generations.
This is why we have created our
I Remember: Memories for my Family booklet. Fill these pages with stories from your life or fill it out on behalf of your loved one who has died.
