He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a lifetime member of Plumbers Local Union #16; Van was preceded in death by wife June Melby; He is survived by his Daughter Cindy Melby Phaneuf & husband Gerry; Son Bruce Melby; Grand Daughter Kristin; Many other relatives & friends.
