William Joseph Reisdorff, Jr.

William “Bill” Joseph Reisdorff, Jr., 63, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away peacefully at home on November 17, 2025.
Bill was born on October 28, 1962, in Omaha to parents, Bill Sr. and Margaret Reisdorff. He lived a life defined by his commitment to family, work, and passions.
Bill was a devoted husband of 42 years to Terrie, with whom he built a partnership grounded in love, laughter, and unwavering support. He was a proud father to William and Caitlyn and a deeply loving Papa to Jonathan and Claire. His family was his greatest accomplishment, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
A dedicated and accomplished professional, Bill earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln at Omaha in 1986. Shortly after, he began what would become a lifelong career at Valmont Industries, Inc. Through hard work, talent, and steadfast leadership, he rose to his most recent role as Vice President of Engineering – Global Utility. Bill was deeply respected by colleagues around the world for his expertise, integrity, and ability to bring vision to every challenge placed before him.
In his personal life, Bill embraced the world with curiosity and enthusiasm. He loved to travel and appreciated exploring local cuisine, historical attractions, and a well-crafted drink. He had a gift for finding adventure, turning simple experiences into meaningful ones through his humor, curiosity, and appreciation for joyful moments. He found relaxation through music, loved getting lost in a good book, enjoyed the quiet strategy of chess, and reveled in the excitement of sports. Bill’s easy companionship drew people in, making them feel welcomed and comfortable in his presence.
Bill was preceded in death by son Joseph Lee Reisdorff, mother Margaret Reisdorff, sister Donna (Reisdorff) Marcelle, parents-in-law Stan and Lela Kiepke, and nephew Barry Eckstrom, Jr.
Bill is survived by wife Terrie Lee (Kiepke) Reisdorff, son William Joseph Reisdorff III (Amanda), daughter Caitlyn Lee Prescott (Blaine), grandchildren Jonathan and Claire Prescott, and father William Reisdorff, Sr.
Above all, Bill will be remembered for his kindness, humility, and the steady, grounding presence he offered to all who knew him. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the family he adored, and the countless contributions he made throughout his career. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Saturday, November 22nd, at the Elkhorn Foundation Alumni Center, 20272 Veterans Dr., Elkhorn, NE 68022, beginning at 1:00 pm.
Family and friends are invited to dress casually as a reflection of Bill’s love for music and easygoing spirit. Jeans, band tees, concert tees, and Converse shoes are encouraged.
