William "Bill" Fitzpatrick, August 30, 1974 ~ August 16, 2025

William Robert Fitzpatrick, dubbed “Prince Billy” by his grandparents, was born on August 30, 1974 to William and Sharon Fitzpatrick at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. He was brought to their Bellevue home to share his childhood with his sister, Michelle. Twin Ridge Elementary School in Bellevue is where he began his elementary education. The family then moved to Millard finishing elementary and middle school, where he met one of his best friends, Andy Tufly, who was his “side kick” in their many shenanigans. He joined Boy Scout troop 364 where he participated in many camping trips, with his long-time friend Heath, learned many skills, and progressed to almost attaining his Eagle Scout badge. He graduated from Millard South High School in 1993. On September 26, 1997, he was joined in matrimony to Amy, where his beautiful daughters, Aubrey and Amelia, were born. His girls loved playing in the pool with their dad, where he taught them to swim. Learning to ride a bike was taught by Bill as well. Brownies with ice cream was a favorite dessert he shared with his girls. As life’s adventures continued he met Melanie and they were married on June 16, 2018, they enjoyed traveling all over and going on cruises. They loved trying new things, such as jet skiing, zip lining, snuba, buggie riding in the rain forest and para sailing. He excelled at his job at RAKA Rentals and made a great impression on his coworkers.

He enjoyed collecting a variety of memorabilia to help cheer on his favorite team, the Huskers! So, obviously, red was his favorite color. His Irish heritage was very important to him, where he always enjoyed his corned beef and cabbage, his momma’s cream puffs, bag pipe music, and green beer. “Nubby” salad was another favorite recipe that his mom made. Traveling was important to him and he loved exploring new places. Geocaching was a hobby that he liked to do in his spare time. Motorized vehicles were his passion and he loved riding his motorcycle on the open road. He took great care in adding modifications to his Vulcan Kawasaki motorcycle and his Ram 1500 pickup. Making people laugh and socializing with his many friends was a highlight of his life. Cigars with the boys and partaking in visiting different breweries was something he enjoyed as well.

Bill is preceded in death by his grandparents, aunts and uncles, step son, Justis, and friend, Andy. He is survived by his parents, William and Sharon Fitzpatrick (Heldt), sister Michelle Hultman and brother-in-law Brandon, children Aubrey and Amelia, wife Melanie, step sons Joel and Jordan, his nieces, aunts and uncles, and many cousins.

If you will be attending the celebration of life, we request that if you can, wear red or your Husker gear to honor our son, brother, father, husband, cousin, uncle and friend, Bill.
