William P. Busch, April 24, 1948 - January 9, 2026
William P. Busch was born in Norfolk, VA on April 24, 1948. Son of late proud German immigrant Wilhelm Busch and Doris Andre Busch. William was the oldest of four children: Barbara Andre Busch, Ronald Busch (Denise), and Susan Busch Boyd (Tom Boyd). William was the father of four sons: Chris Busch (Krista), Lance Busch (Christa), Kevin Busch, and Shawn Busch (Lonna). Grandsons: late Dre Busch, Colton Busch, Nick Frederick. Granddaughters: Kyanne Busch Prewitt (Austen), Skylar Rae Busch, Mckenna Busch Galusha (Gable), Kylen Busch Quandt (Logan), Peyton Frederick Johnston (Jacob), three great granddaughters, and one great grandson. William was also loved and honored by his former brother and sister in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
William's life has taken many places as a Naval Officers son living in the states of Virginia, Maine, New Jersey, New York, and Lincoln, Nebraska. Busch family settled and built family roots in Omaha, Nebraska in 1959. William attended middle school in Omaha Public Schools at Lewis & Clark Middle School and graduated from Omaha Beveridge (Burke) High School of Class of 1966 where he met Cheryl Le Chrisman and married in 1967 and divorced 20 years later. William was a standout athlete at Beveridge High School on the football, baseball and swim team. William also enjoyed helping the community by coaching youth baseball, football , and wrestling while helping to raise his four sons.
In 1964, William took pride as a registered local member #038964 and started working for Heat and Frost & Allied Workers Local #39 in Omaha, Nebraska. William worked 54 years from 1964 - 2018 and was affiliated until his death of a total of 62 years. William then decided on full retirement and headed out to Pahrump, Nevada to the great outdoors where he met God and loved attending church. William enjoyed outdoor activities, being around family, BBQ's and get together with friends while listening to his 60's & 70's music. The Family and friends you had will always love you and miss you with the legacy and memories you left behind.
A memorial service to honor William's memory will be held in the fall of 2026. The time / date / location will be announced at a later date.
