Wauneta was born in Raymond, NE on February 28, 1938 and passed away peacefully in her home on December 26, 2025. She is preceded in death by her late husband, George A. Nigh III. Wauneta is survived by her 4 children: George A. (Chris) Nigh, IV, David Nigh, Robbie (Sharon) Nigh, Linda (Bill) Jackson; sister, Bettye Smidberg; brother, Bill (Mary) Krejci; 16 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Wauneta will be greatly remembered for her loving heart and pleasant spirit. She loved spending time with her family, travelling, going out to eat and especially Boston Terriers.

VISITATION: Sunday, January 4, 2026 from 2-4:00pm at Braman Mortuary (Southwest Chapel)
