Steven Gregory Polinski

Steven Gregory Polinski, 63, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away on May 9, 2025, at Bergan Mercy Hospital, surrounded by family and friends who loved him dearly. Steven was born on September 19, 1961, in Omaha to his parents Jon and Charee (Hartman) Polinski.

After graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School in Council Bluffs, Iowa in 1980. Steven joined the United States Navy and was assigned to the USS Bronstein, which allowed him to travel the world. Upon his return to Omaha after three years of service to the US NAVY, Steven began a career at Hawkins Construction Company, where he worked as a pipe foreman until he retired. His commitment to his work was matched only by his passion for life outside of it.

Steven is survived by his loving partner, Stacey Elmborg; brother Scott Polinski. He will also be remembered by his beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and numerous other family members and good friends who were fortunate enough to know him.
