Sophia, beloved wife of Ballard Fleming, passed away on Saturday, November 16, surrounded by her loving family. Sophia was born in Linden, NJ on August 14, 1929. She was prede-ceased by her mother, Anna Oetting; father, Diedrich Oetting; and sisters, Eleanor Smith and Hildegard Rahardt. Sophia is survived by Ballard, her loving husband of 62 years, 8 months, and 29 days; her loving children and their spouses, Christine Sophia (Eugene O.) Royer of Grandview, MO, Joanne (James R.) Taylor of Lone Tree, CO, and James E. (Jennifer J.) Fleming of Gretna, NE; 9 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. FUNERAL SERVICE is on Thursday at 10am at Immanuel Lutheran Church, (2725 N. 60th Ave., Omaha), with Reverend Alan Hanson officiating.
