Shelly A. Mann
July 14, 1961 - February 11, 2026
Shelly Ann Mann, 64, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2026 at CHI Lakeside Hospital with her husband, Scott, and daughter, Sara, by her side, following a long, hard fought battle with cancer. Shelly was born on July 14, 1961 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital to Floyd Fowler and Mary Lynn Hartenhoff. She grew up in Council Bluffs, IA, before moving to Omaha (Millard), NE during High School. Shelly met her husband, Scott Mann, in the Hinky Dinky parking lot where her car broke down. A mutual friend that worked at the store called Scott to see if he could help her out. He brought back some jumper cables to start up her ‘71 Barracuda, and although he did not get the car started, he did find the girl he’d spend the next 48 years with. Scott and Shelly married on September 15, 1979, moving around to a few different states, before planting roots back in the Omaha area. In 1994, Scott and Shelly welcomed their first and only child, Sara, who was the light of her life. Shelly spent many years being the ultimate dance mom for Sara – organized, devoted, endlessly supportive, and ensuring every costume was rhinestoned to perfection. In her free time Shelly enjoyed crafting and spending time with her three grandchildren.
Shelly was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Fowler; her brother, Russ Fowler; father-in-law, Richard Mann; mother-in-law, Wanda Mann; brother-in-law, Mark Mann. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Scott Mann; her daughter, Sara (J.D.) Widhelm; three grandchildren, Crew, Evie, and Millie Widhelm; her mother, Mary Lynn Fowler (John Meloccoro); her niece, Ashley (Collin) Uhrich and their family; her niece Emily (Logan) Lichter; her nephew Caleb Fowler; her brother-in-law, Craig Mann; her three sister-in-laws, Cathy Mann, Christy (Mike) Reikofski, Michelle (Randy) Ostermann and their families; and all of her amazing friends that she made feel like family.
Shelly will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
