Sheila Renée Williams (Vanderpool; b. 12/2/69) passed away on May 5, 2020 from complications with diabetes. A lifelong resident of the Omaha area, Sheila kept in touch with friends from school and various workplaces. She will be remembered for her love of animals and the Nebraska Humane Society, for her varied and impeccable taste in music, for her skill with spelling and grammar, and for her overwhelming generosity and sense of humor. As a mom, she frequently volunteered as a “room mother” for her kids’ elementary school holiday parties and always made sure they were engaged and successful in their studies. Sheila never hesitated to help others and would frequently bake cakes for neighbors in her apartment building. She had always dreamed of becoming a paramedic and traveling to New York City. She is preceded in death by parents Archie and Jeannine (Moore) of Woodbine and survived by companion Steve Broughton, sister Lola Asch, daughter Stacey, and son Theo.
