Sharon Ellen Anderson (Glen) June 16, 1941 – October 5, 2025
Sharon Ellen Anderson (Glen), 84, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2025 at CHI Health Midlands in Papillion. We celebrate that Sharon is now rejoicing with the Lord and is no longer living under the shadow of dementia. It was Sharon’s wish that you do not cry because she is gone but to smile and celebrate her life.
Sharon was born June 16, 1941, in Twin Falls, Idaho, to Richard and Violet Marie Glen. The family moved to Lexington shortly after her birth.
Sharon graduated from Lexington High School in 1959.
Sharon married Stephen Lyn Anderson on April 16, 1961. They had one daughter, Stephanie Lyn, born April 2, 1963, and one son, Britt Alan, born April 21, 1966. Sharon and Steve moved to Omaha after retiring – she loved big-city life. Steve, not so much.
Sharon was a strong follower of Jesus Christ and enjoyed spending time studying her bible as well as bible studies with friends. Her bible is a keepsake that will be cherished for years to come, as she fellowshipped with it through highlights, underlines, and her own thoughts.
Sharon did not work outside of the home when her children were young, as she dedicated her time to the job she held most dear to her heart, raising her children in the fear of the Lord. She was a loving mother and carried this fervor when she welcomed grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved family and she loved hers with every part of her being.
Sharon is survived by her daughter Stephanie Cosgrove and son, Britt (Marsha) Anderson, both of Omaha; brother-in-law, Richard (Sammy) Anderson of Pleasant Dale, and sister-in-law’s Mary Sarnes of Lexington, Ramona Anderson and Linda Anderson both of Lincoln, as well as five grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, their spouses, cousins, and friends.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen, her parents, and her brother Dennis.
Graveside committal will be held 10am, Friday, October 10, 2025 at Evergreen Memorial Park. Per Sharon’s request, there will be no service held. Please send any memorials to a cherished charity close to your heart in her honor.
