Scott L Moody
September 1, 1984 - March 18, 2026
Scott was born on September 5, 1984, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Mitchell L Moody and Fiona Krollig Moody. He graduated from Millard South High School in 2003 and went on to pursue his passion for working with his hands, earning an Associate Degree in Automotive Technology from Southeast Community College in Milford, Nebraska.
Scott dedicated 20 years of his career to working as an automotive technician, a profession that suited both his skillset and his easy going nature. He was in the process of making plans for his future and was very excited about new opportunities.
If you knew Scott, you loved him. He had a generous spirit and was known for overtipping servers without a second thought. He was a loyal supporter of the Detroit Red Wings and preferred the mountains over open water. Even in the coldest weather, Scott could often be found in shorts and a sleeveless shirt, a trait that seems to live on in his nephew. He was a great cook and grill master, treating recipes as more of a suggestion than a rule. He also loved gathering with his friends to put on large firework displays. They were rarely subtle, always memorable, and very much his style. He laughed often and easily, and his presence brought comfort and humor to those around him. He was a proud homeowner and shared a special bond with his beloved dog, Dante, who was truly his best buddy.
Scott is survived by his parents, Mitchell L Moody and Fiona Krollig Moody; his sister, Brianna Englett, her husband, Adam Englett; and his niece and nephew, Monroe Englett and Sullivan L Englett. He is also survived by extended family across Australia and in McCook, Nebraska. His circle of steadfast friends will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Nadine and Gerald Moody, and Doris and Dudley Krollig.
In lieu of funeral services, and in honor of Scott’s generous and caring nature, those who wish to do so may make a donation to Wounded Warrior Project (https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/) or Town and Country Animal Rescue (https://
