Obituary

Samuel T. Snyder (September 27, 1975 - June 5, 2026)

Sam Snyder lived his life with a big heart, a strong work ethic, and a personality that could light up any room. He was the life of the party and always knew how to make people laugh. Whether he was telling a joke, giving advice, or simply listening when someone needed to talk, Sam had a way of making people feel cared for. He was the kind of person who was only a phone call away, and when you needed him, you could always count on him to show up.

Sam took great pride in providing a beautiful life for his family. He worked at Pomp’s/Cross Dillon for 29 years and was known for going above and beyond in everything he did. He may have been a bit of a workaholic, but his dedication came from the love he had for his family. Alongside the love of his life, Melissa, his wife and partner of 20 years, Sam built a beautiful family of seven that meant everything to him.

Some of Sam’s proudest moments were spent cheering on his children. He loved attending sporting events and motocross races, where he was Bella’s biggest cheerleader and Aiden’s dedicated “Pit Dad.” He also adored his grandson, Leo, and loved taking him for rides on the pit bike. Those special moments brought him so much joy.

Sam was a Harley enthusiast who loved traveling to Sturgis and spending time with his friends at Linoma Campground. He also treasured the memories made during trips to Mexico with Melissa and family vacations to Branson, Missouri. No matter where he was, Sam brought laughter, energy, and love with him.

Sam will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father and papa, a loyal friend, and someone who could always be counted on. His presence will be deeply missed, but the love, laughter, and memories he gave to those around him will never be forgotten.

Sam was preceded in death by his brother Jeffrey Snyder; He is survived by his wife Melissa; children: Austin Martin & Kayla Donley, Brittney Ritzen & husband Matt, Breanna Johnson, Aiden Snyder, Isabella Snyder; grandson Leo; mother Gay Martin; brother Aaron Snyder.
