Sally Lynn Peet

Sally Lynn (Reeves) Peet passed away peacefully in her home on the morning of March 2, 2026.

Sally Lynn Peet was born Sally Lynn Reeves in Lewellen, NE to Thomas Clinton and Ruth Hope (West) Reeves on August 11, 1951, a family of 13 children. Sally earned her Associates' degree in Bookkeeping from Western Nebraska Technical College and was working at the Reimann and Wuerth Company in Cheyenne, WY, where she met Air Force Capt. Steven Peet in October 1975. They were engaged in November of that same year and married on June 12, 1976.

In February 1978, Steve and Sally moved to Omaha, NE and later to Blair, NE where they raised their four children and currently reside.

Sally was active in her household and her community. While attending Westbrook Evangelical Free Church, she worked as a bookkeeper for the church's food pantry and volunteered in the nursery each Sunday. Sally loved her crocheting, gardening, sewing, and her cats. She was an avid reader, and loved a good cup of tea in front of the fireplace while watching old movies.

Sally is survived by her husband Steve, her children Greg (Lora) Peet, Elizabeth Thompson, Jonathon Peet, and Ben (Jillian) Peet, as well as grandson Gabe Peet, brother (Steve Reeves), sister (Sue Wilson), sisters-in-law Nicole Burdette and Sue Pirrone, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father Thomas, mother Ruth, her brothers Thomas, Clinton, Theron, Gary, Jim, and Mike, and sisters Jacqueline Alexander, Ruth Sharon Payton, Lane Kaye Reeves and Linda Lou Blake.
