REYNOLDS, Rose C. Rev. 8/17/1933 – 4/15/2017 Age 83 years of Omaha Rev. Rose C. Reynolds was born on august 17, 1933 to her parents Rev. Charles L. Williams and Rosanna D. (Duncan) Williams in Huntsville, Missouri. She was preceeded in death by her parents, Rev. Charles and Mrs. Williams, brothers Charles L. Williams, Jr., Frederick D. Williams, and John W. Williams, and her son Robert Reynolds, Jr. She leaves to mourn her death her son, Jeffrey C. Reynolds (Valerie) of Omaha, NE, her brother, Marion E. Williams (Corliss) of Des Moines, IA and her sister, Betty Bershell of Rockford, Illinois, along with her nieces and nephews. Rose was united in marriage to Robert Reynolds and gave birth to two sons: Robert Reynolds, Jr. and Jeffrey C. Reynolds. Rose came to know the Lord at an early age while attending Bethel AME Church in Omaha, Nebraska, where her father was Pastor. Rose followed in her father’s footsteps and answered the call to the Ministry. She was ordained at St. John AME Church, Omaha, Nebraska. She served as Pastor at Primm Chapel AME Church, Omaha, Nebraska. In addition, Rose served as Assistant Pastor of Friends of Christ Evangelical Church, Omaha, NE under the leadership of Rev. John Orduna. Following the retirement of Rev. Orduna, Rev. Reynolds served as Pastor of Friends of Christ Evangelical Church for several years until the church joined with Koinonia House of Worship to form Koinonia and Friends of Christ Church under the leadership of Pastor Tony E. Sanders. Driven by her desire to help others, Rose served in the Peace Corps in Pohnpei, Federated States of Micronesia from 1990-1992. Following her service in Pohnpei, she worked for the Nebraska Health and Human Services as a Social Service Specialist for approximately ten years. It was during this time that Rose made lasting and endearing friendships with many individuals. She made many special memories with her dearest friends who became her extended family, Ms. Florence Alston, Ms. Robyn Hudson and Mr. William (Bill) Grayson through experiences such as Black History celebrations, Harvest Dinners at church and road trips.
