Ronald L Muller, 82 of Lyman, IA passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 30th, 2025 at the home of his longtime special friend Linda Finney of Omaha, NE.

Ron was born to Everett and Mary Muller of Lyman, IA on February 21,1943. Ron was in the US Air Force from 1963-1967, was stationed in Greece and is a member of American Legion Post 508 in Griswold. Ron was Grand Marshall of the Annual Griswold Reunion parade in 2024.

Ron began driving truck with his beloved dad upon returning to Griswold which led to a lifetime of trucking. Ron was an owner operator for 50 plus years. the last 30 years of his lifelong career in trucking until he retired in 2022. After retirement Ron hauled grain for Sindt Farms and Leonard Alm as well as delivering fertilizer for Steinbeck and Sons He had to keep busy and loved driving trucks.

Ron was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Lyman and served on the board. He volunteered at the church with “ Hands for Haiti” project and then would help transport them. He’ll be remembered by the kids at the church for bringing them jelly beans. He also volunteered with Meals On Wheels and at the Cass County Museum. He loved sharing his memories and visiting with those that shared some of those memories and even some that only he remembered.

Ron loved tinkering on his classic cars and taking them to car shows winning many trophies. He loved watching/attending car/drag races. Ron was married to Pat Hansen and they had two daughters, Jill and Peggi. His parents, grandparents and sister(Marcia) preceded Ron in death. Survivors include his two daughters Jil of Rockford, IL and Peggi(Marcus)of Villa Rica, GA,grandsons Jesse(Katie)Weston of Rockford, IL, Kalynn Namanny of Omaha, NE Lane Maynor of Villa Rica, GA and Anne Marie Maynor of Villa Rica, GA as well as 5 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on December 13th from1:30pm to 3:30pm at St. John’s UCC with coffee and refreshments being served.
