Roger D. Horstman

Roger Dale Horstman, age 67, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on August 22nd, 2026, in Omaha, Nebraska. He was born on March 31st, 1959, in Orange City, Iowa, to Delano and Marla Horstman.

Roger married Catherine Klynsma, and together they had four children. Roger is preceded in death by parents-in-law, Franklin and Marjorie Klynsma; nephews Adam and Gavin Klynsma; and great-niece Emma Reitz. He is survived by his parents, Del and Marla Horstman; his wife, Cathy Horstman; his children, Jaclyn (Kyle) Williams, Drew (Melanie) Horstman, Zachary (Carly) Horstman, and Marissa Horstman; and his grandchildren, Kalyssa Williams, Ezra Horstman, and Holland Horstman.

He is also survived by his brother, Jeffrey (Linda) Horstman, and sister, Cheryl (Charles) Bruckman, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 27th, 2026 at Prairie Lane Church. A memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, August 28th, 2026, at Prairie Lane Church. Burial will follow at Omaha National Cemetery. The family welcomes all to attend a reception after the burial service, to be held at Prairie Lane Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lustgarten Foundation for pancreatic cancer research.
