Robin L Christiansen

Robin L. Christiansen passed away on August 5, 2024.

Robin was born September 24, 1960, to (Rex) Steve and Marianne Hammond in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As the oldest of five children, she had a knack for taking care of others which lead her to run an in-home daycare for more than 25 years. Early in Robin’s career she worked in food service where she met her husband of 40-plus years, Thomas L. Christiansen. They were married on March 28, 1983. Their union produced two children, Jeff and Jamie Christiansen.

Robin loved her family, dogs and enjoyed gardening, bowling, playing cards and feeding the critters in her backyard. With her gift of gab no one she met was a stranger. Christmas was her favorite holiday. She loved to decorate the front yard and Christmas tree, bake treats for friends and family, frost cookies and share the holiday spirit with those less fortunate. One of her life’s pursuits was to encourage her children to pursue higher education. They both made her unbelievably proud by obtaining multiple degrees.

Robin was preceded in death by her mother, Marianne and her grandparents, John and Verdayne Burrill as well as her grandparents Rex and Helen Hammond. She is survived by husband, Tom, Son Jeff (Sinira) Christiansen, and daughter, Jamie Christiansen. She is also survived by her father, Steve Hammond, sisters, Jennie Hammond, Cheryl Platt, Wendy (Gary) Overton, and brother, Rex (Shari) Hammond and several nieces and nephews.

Robin will be remembered Monday, August 12, 2024, at Braman Mortuary at 6505 S. 144th Street in Omaha, NE. Robin is to be buried at a private ceremony at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
