“WOW, WHAT A RIDE!” Those words capture the essence of Bobby Johnson, who lived life with energy, laughter, and a spirit of adventure that never slowed down.

Bobby’s journey began in Nashville, Tennessee, born to Bob and Helen Johnson. After just six weeks, the family moved to Omaha, Nebraska, where Bobby grew up. After high school, he met Pam—his soul mate in life—and together they shared 48 years of marriage, raising two sons, Joshua and Jeremy. Later came his grandson Wyatt, lovingly nicknamed “Little Bobby,” who quickly became his partner in crime and constant source of joy.

Bobby joined the family business after high school, working alongside his dad. He built a successful career as a business owner, but his true passion was adventure. He logged thousands of miles across the U.S. and Mexico, often with Pam by his side, chasing experiences that made life richer. Whether camping, boating, riding Harleys and RZR’s, or exploring tequila distilleries, Bobby collected stories—and unique tequila bottles—that he loved to share with family and friends.

He was never one to travel quietly. Bobby filled the road with laughter, joining group calls with his buddies to swap stories and make sure the most important “business meetings”—breakfast and lunch—were never missed.

Mexico was Bobby’s playground. On bi-annual trips, he introduced Pam to its vibrant culture, its people, and its joy. Days were spent deep-sea fishing, evenings filled with good food and laughter among friends. After decades of chasing the perfect marlin, Bobby finally landed “the big one” in 2020—a 545-pound marlin, still waiting to be hung, a symbol of his persistence and zest for life.

Bobby’s fun-loving, free spirit will live on through Pam, Jeremy, and Little Bobby, who could always be counted on to “make good decisions.” His legacy is one of adventure, laughter, and love—a reminder to all of us to live boldly, embrace joy, and never be bored.

Bobby was preceded in death by parents, Robert and Helen Johnson. He is survived by beloved wife of 48 years, Pamala Johnson; sons Joshua (Amy) and Jeremy (Ashlee); grandson Wyatt; sister, Susan (Paul) Johnson-Leisure.
