Rita Mae Harris

Rita Mae Harris (December 4, 1943 - June 3, 2026)

Preceded in death by husband Harry Harris, daughter Amy Meek, sister Margaret Hemenway, brothers David Lubischer and John Lubischer, mother Ruby Kohlun, and father David John Lubischer.

Survived by daughters Holly Harris and Heather Harris, grandchildren Amanda Harris and Drayven Harris, partner Alex Josoff, sisters Anne Clark and Marilyn Smythe, brother Richard Lubischer.

Rita was a kind, loving, and generous woman. A devoted mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, she always had time to help someone in need. Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, she graduated from South High School and worked for many years in payroll, primarily at Roberts Dairy, to support her family and loved ones. She enjoyed traveling and outings with her friends and family. She will be deeply missed and adoringly remembered.

Visitation and Memorial to be held at Braman Mortuary (72nd Chapel) on June 9, 2026 from 5-7:00 PM
