Richard Dean "Dick" Zlab

ZLAB, Richard Dean “Dick” Jan. 10, 1928 ~ Sep. 29, 2011 For 35 years, Dick was the voice of the Radio Talking Book Network, a radio reading service for the blind, visually disabled and elderly in Nebraska and surrounding states. He is preceded in death by his wives, Norma Sharett Zlab & Jane Spiker Zlab and sister, Norma Stone. Dick is survived by his companion, Jean Davis; children, Linda (Steve) Bandy, Marilyn Berger (Greg Balata), Robert (Paulette) Zlab; grandchildren, James, Matthew, Megan, Barbara, Michael, Mindy, Jonathan, Jeremy, Bridget; several great-grandchildren. Celebration of Life, Sunday, (10/9/11) 2:00PM at Braman Mortuary (72nd St. Chapel) In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Radio Talking Book Service, Community Health Plaza, 7101 Newport Ave. Omaha, NE 68152 Richard’s body has been donated to science.
