Ramona “Mona” Margaret Miles of Omaha NE Mona went home to be with her Heavenly Father on June 7th at age 78. Mona, a “Valentine’s baby”, was born in Ainsworth NE on February 14th 1942 to Emigene (Christensen) and Robert Bartlett. She received her education through Marquette High School and Grand Island Business College. Mona met and married Ronald “Ron” Miles of Cozad NE on February 2, 1964.They moved to Omaha, and she stayed at home to be with her three children. After being a stay-at-home mom for several years, Mona entered the workforce. She was a hardworking, successful woman. She worked in various fields, including retail, clerical, and insurance. She retired after 20 plus years at Design Basics LLC, a home plan design company. During Mona’s lifetime, she enjoyed creativity by drawing, baking, gardening, and ceramics. She participated in activities and classes at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Millard. The past ten years, she attended Stony Brook Church. Mona loved reading, feeding the birds, and watching the squirrels stealing the bird food, but most of all spoiling her dogs, Puttles, Princess, Abby, and grand-dogs Winnie and Tilly. Mona is proceeded in death by the love of her life/husband Ronald “Ron” Miles,father Robert “Pete” Bartlett, mother Emigene (Christensen) Bartlett, great grandchild Haley Miles (newborn), great grandchild Hope Archer (newborn), great grandchild Alaric Archer (newborn), brother-in-law Delmar Maaske, brother-in-law Frank Lesch, niece Marsha Maaske (newborn), and niece Cindy Maaske. Mona is survived by sister Judy Jacobsen; son Steven (Annette) Miles and his children Tawny (Nick) Archer [great granddaughter Lucille “Lucy”], Drew (Janell) Miles [great grandson Tanner, great granddaughter Paisley, and great granddaughter Bailey], Torey (Paige) Miles and Cody Miles, Levi Miles [great granddaughter Avayah]; daughter Pamela “Pam” (Keith) Klusmeyer and children Bryce Klusmeyer and Miles Klusmeyer; daughter Melissa (Christopher “Chris”) Hanna and children Michael (Crystal) Hanna [great grandson Dawson, great grand daughter Jayden, great grand daughter Taylor], Steven (Amy) Hanna [great grand daughter Emma, great grandson Zack, great grandson Jaxon], and Blake Hanna. Mona is also survived by sister-in-law Alice Maaske and children Trish (Terry), Kent (Jackie), and Les (Tammie); sister-in-law Mildred Lesch and children Frank (Pam) and Mitchell. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Anyone who knew Mona knew that she was there for you when you needed her. She baked meals, desserts, cakes, and cookies and take them to work, friends, her children’s school, and her Amy Circle family. Mona loved being outside and always had a big smile or a wave heading your way. She may even have had a really good conversation with you on the phone, at the grocery store, after church, across the fence, or around Amy Circle. She loved her family, friends, co-workers, and life in general. Without a doubt, the world will be forever changed – Mona will be genuinely missed! NOTE: Due to Covid restrictions and our concern for Mona’s son Steven being immune compromised after recent radiation and chemotherapy treatments, only immediate family members will be at Stony Brook Church 14345 Y St., Omaha NE 68137 for the service in person. Graveside Service- Mona will be placed alongside her husband at a Graveside service at Cozad Cemetery Road 761 (between Country Club Rd & Road 423) Cozad NE on Friday, June 12 at 12 pm.
