Paula J. (Johnson) Chamberlain, age 77, passed away peacefully at her home on June 29, 2026, in Omaha, Nebraska, with her loving husband, Alvin Chamberlain, by her side.

Paula was born on May 9, 1949, in Orchard, Nebraska, to Leland and Pauline Johnson. She was known for her warm heart and generous spirit, making everyone she met feel like family. A dedicated and hardworking woman, Paula found joy in caring for her home and took great pride in keeping her yard beautiful—especially while spending time on her riding lawn mower, one of her favorite pastimes.

Throughout her life, Paula's kindness, compassion, and unconditional love touched the lives of countless family members, friends, and neighbors. She will be remembered for her welcoming nature, her strong work ethic, and the love she so freely gave to those around her.

In December 1990, Paula was united in marriage to Alvin Chamberlain, the love of her life. Together, they lovingly supported their families and built a life rooted in unwavering love, compassion, laughter, and steadfast devotion. Their marriage was filled with cherished memories, shared adventures, countless moments of humor, and the simple joys of everyday life.

Paula was preceded in death by her parents, Leland and Pauline Johnson; her infant brother; her sister, LeAnne Hohman; her brothers-in-law, Fred Hohman and Paul Lee; and her nephews, James and Mikey Hohman.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Alvin Chamberlain; her sons, Don Arnold and Chris (Marla) Arnold; her sisters, Jackie Lee and Pamela (Dale) Drum; her stepchildren, Michael (Jackie) Chamberlain, Vicki (Chad) Bonar, and Jill (Chris) Mellott; her grandchildren, Brittany (Aaron) Schrom, Arlo (Alexandria) Selix, Caitlin Mellott, and Morgan Mellott. She will also be deeply missed by her Chamberlain brother-in-law, four sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews, and great-grandchildren.

Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Sunday, July 5, 2026, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, with a Vigil Service beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 6, 2026, at St. Bernard Catholic Church.
