Patricia Ann Drickey

passed away peacefully at home on August 15, 2026 at the age of 96.

Patsy was born in 1929 to Louis Patrick and Helen Burmester in Omaha. She graduated from Omaha North High School in 1947 and married Dean Philip Drickey in 1948. Together they raised 4 boys: Philip, twins Patrick & James and Robert.

She was an active member of the PTA at Adams Elementary School, Cub Scout den mother, founding member of the Omaha Hosta Society, hosted the National Iris Society garden tour, and member of the Omaha Walking Club at Fontanelle Forest.

Patsy was kind, caring and her top priority was always family. She loved to be around people and enjoyed puzzling, knitting, gardening and genealogy. Her international themed Christmas celebrations were legendary, exploring global foods and traditions.

Patsy was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Dean and her great-grandson Dillon. She is survived by her sons Philip (Irene), Patrick (Karen), James (Diane), and Robert (Anne); grandchildren, Scott, Jennifer (Chris), Melissa (Jason), Ben (Janna), Neal (Mindy), Kayt (Aaron), Alex (Joey) and 13 great-grandchildren.

Patsy’s family wishes to thank the many dedicated and compassionate caregivers and staff at Heritage Ridge who enhanced her life every day as well as the wonderful caregivers at OnCare Hospice.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2026 at 12:00 Noon at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. A small family reception will follow at 1:00pm at 1510 Leavenworth St.
