Nancy Carole Dowe Smith Nancy Smith died quietly on June 13, 2020 at 90 years of age.She died at home with her loving daughter Deanna Morris and her family.Although a longtime resident of Omaha, Nebraska, Nancy raised her children in the High Point/Jamestown area of North Carolina where she belonged to the First Baptist Church of High Point. She was born in Norfolk, VA where she met, fell in love and married Thomas Calvin Smith, who preceded her in death.She also had one infant son, Thomas, Jr. who preceded her in death.Nancy loved animals and was rarely without a cat or dog curled up beside her or in her lap. She also loved the Lord.While she was physically able, she served the Lord at her local church, Midwestern Baptist, where she was a member. Nancy is survived by five daughters and one son: Carole Pressley, Patsy Wilson, Libby Wood, Tommie Jackson, Leon Smith and Deanna Morris.Nancy is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your local humane society or rescue,. Family will hold a private service on her birthday in September, in Spartanburg, SC.
