CAPPIELLO, Michael A. “Mike” 3/14/1947 – 3/19/2017 Age 70 years of Omaha Preceded in death by Parents Pauline (Fortezzo) and Joseph Cappiello; Wife Roselyn Cappiello; and Brother Dennis Cappiello Survived by twin Brother Mitch and his wife Deb Cappiello, Sister-In-Law Maria Cappiello; Step Daughters Theresa (Bill) Stairs, Tammy Noahr and Jeff Hoeft; Grandchildren Samatha Lachendro, Elizabeth Lachendro, Morgan Williams, Logan Noahr-Leigh; close friends Tanya and Lance Howard; many nieces and nephews; cousins and other family and friends. Mike was born and raised in Omaha where he graduated from Omaha Technical High School in 1966. He served in the U.S. Army. Mike retired in 2012 after 20 years with Lozier Corporation, Prior to that, he was a welder at Fruehauf Corporation Bulk Tank Division for over 25 years where both his dad and brother also worked. While continuing to work full time, Mike tirelessly took care of his wife Roselyn for 23 years. Roselyn was a Quadriplegic resulting from a car accident. Mike and Roselyn were actively involved with the Mothers Against Drunk Driving organization and were speakers for the Nebraska Safety Council and a variety of court ordered DUI classes and MIP classes for teenagers. After Roselyn’s death, Mike continued to speak at these classes. Mike loved the Nebraska Cornhuskers football team and the Chicago White Sox’s.
