SCHRIEVER Sr., Maurice V. 11/6/1929 – 7/30/2020 Born in Oneida, SD Maurice (Mory) Schriever Sr. graduated high school from Aberdeen Central High School. He served four years in the Navy during the Korean War. After attending one year of college at Northern State College he entered the electrical trade where he spent his career honing his skills. He enjoyed all aspects of construction by building three homes from scratch and remodeling several others during his lifetime. “Following the work” as he would say he worked on several power plants across the country in SD, IL and WA. He owned his own electrical business for a time in Sioux Falls, SD. He met and married his wife of 55 years Janice R Schriever (Kemnitz) in 1958 in Sioux Falls. They met on the dance floor and spent nights dancing at the Moose Lodge, Legion or the VFW, They were nomads traveling across the country until retiring in Sun City, AZ. Preceded in death by: parents, Albert and Susan Schriever; wife, Janice, in 2013 and six siblings. Survived -by: sons, Maurice Schriever Jr., (Patricia), of Omaha, NE, Frederick Schriever of Portland, OR, Ritchie Schriever (Cheryl) of Dell Rapids, SD, grandchildren, Nick (Schyler), Ben, Athena, James, Jacob and great grandchild, Callen.
