Matthew R. Keith

Matthew Richard Keith was born January 8th, 1981 and passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 2nd, 2026

To know Matt was to love Matt. He was funny, gentle, talkative, kind, affectionate, and loving. His thoughtfulness and devotion to those in his life were unmatched. He was a passionate individual, and treasured life alongside his beloved partner, Sonja. The two were inseparable, a real life love story.

Matt was born with myatonic dystrophy, but this did not limit his zest for life. He never forgot a birthday or special occasion. He was enthusiastic about sports and live music. He and Sonja could often be caught wearing matching jerseys supporting their favorite sporting teams, the Nebraska Cornhuskers, the LA Lakers, and the Denver Broncos. He had a massive DVD collection with The Fast and the Furious and scary movies being amongst his favorites. He really enjoyed a pizza, but only second to a Bronco burger and fries. Matt was full of life, and we will all miss the purity of joy he brought to this world.

Matt is survived by the love of his life, Sonja Fry, his parents: Richard (Shirley) Keith, Chris(Terry) Assman, his siblings, Rob Keith, Eric Keith, Jessica Soeland, Scott Sheehan, Sarah Venzon, and Jeff Lockwood.

Graveside: March 21st 2026 at 10:30 at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Lincoln, Nebraska. He will be buried with his loving Grandparents.
