Mary Jean Blue

Mary Blue was born in Holly Grove, Arkansas on January 08, 1947. She was one of four sisters and two brothers. While in high school, she and her siblings would help their mother earn money by picking cotton. Mary graduated from Holly Grove High School and in 1967, she transitioned to Omaha, Nebraska. There, she and her sister Martha remained. She married once and had to sons. Mary worked at several companies within Omaha and attended church. As her sons became adults, she carried her love and support to her nieces and nephews. Mary’s work ethic continued throughout her life until she could not work anymore.

Mary passed away on May 02, 2025. She is survived by her two sons, Richard W. Blue IV, and Ryan Blue.
