Margaret Ida (Voege) Miller

Age 91 of Omaha
Margaret was born in Carroll, Iowa to Herbert and Erna (Dubberke) Voege of Westside, Crawford County, Iowa. She lived on the family farm until she graduated from Westside High School. From 1949-1952 she was a bookkeeper at D.E. Benton Company, Westside, Iowa. She then came to Omaha, NE in 1952 and worked at the United States National Bank in Omaha, NE and worked there until she married Raymond C. Miller of Omaha, NE in April 1960. In the late 60's she returned to work as the Secretary of Crestridge Elementary School in Omaha until her retirement. She was awarded an "Admiral of the Great Navy of the State of Nebraska" in May 1993 from Governor Ben Nelson. She also belonged to the Omaha Area Retired School Employees Association. Margaret was a longtime member with her husband of the King of Kings Lutheran Church in Omaha. She fully enjoyed a good fishing trip to Perham, Minnesota and caught more fish than anyone else. Margaret and Raymond also travelled to Rock Port, Texas and Vegas in the winter months after retirement.
Preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond Miller; her sister, Shirley Dimmitt.
Survived by her brother Gary (Joan) Voege; son David (Estheruth) Miller; grandchildren, Kyle (Brittany) Miller and Monica (Casey) Blaser; Great-grandchildren, Jack & George Miller, and Emerson Blaser.
Visitation: Sunday, January 29, 4-8pm, with family present. Funeral Service: Monday, 10:30 am Both at Braman Mortuary 144th Street. Chapel. Internment: Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
