Margaret Jean (Kratochvil) Miller died unexpectedly due to complications with a heart procedure on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 in Omaha, NE. She was 83 years young. Marge was born near Ulysses, NE to Nick and Libby Kratochvil on July 5, 1942. She grew up with ten siblings in a loving Christian farm family.
After graduating from high school from David City, Marge moved to Lincoln, NE where she worked for the State of Nebraska for many years.
Marge and Ron married on June 19, 1971. Afterwards, Marge devoted her time to raising her family while also providing in-home childcare. The many children she cared for became part of our extended family as she loved each as her own.
Marge and Ron moved to Omaha, NE in 1984 where she continued providing daycare. Before retiring, Marge worked for Millard Public Schools as a special education paraprofessional and as a member of the summer painting crew.
After retirement, Marge and Ron enjoyed traveling and spending time with family, dear friends and neighbors, and were often hosting informal get-togethers. She enjoyed gardening, and looked forward to tending her flowers and tomatoes each spring.
Marge was an active member of Waters Edge Church in Omaha, NE along with her husband, Ron.
Marge is preceded in death by her parents, Nick and Libby Kratochvil, brother-in-laws Don Moravec and Eugene Kadavy, brother and sister-in-law LeRoy and Carol Kratochvil, brother Eugene Kratochvil, and grandchild RaeLynn Preston. She is survived by husband, Ron, children Todd (Sheri) Miller, Tish (Ron) Rezac, Teri Miller (Tony Evans), and Trevor (Heather) Miller, grandchildren Kiri (Tim) Lomax, Kylie and Logan Rezac, Evan Miller Franco, Aaron, Austin and Aiden Miller, Stepgrandsons, Brady, Breydon and 4 great-grandchildren, as well as many loving friends, neighbors, and extended family.
Marge was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend, and loving human who brought people together. She will be
remembered for her kindness, boundless love, devotion to God and family, and her contagious laugh.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 18, 2026, 11am at Water’s Edge Church, Gretna, NE. Visitation with family preceding service.
