Luella Lucretia Carroll Wike, formerly of Bladenboro, passed away in Omaha, Nebraska on Saturday, November 30, 2013. She was 84 and had been in declining health. She was born in Bladenboro in 1929 to Manchester and Ethel Dowless Carroll, and was preceded in death by brothers Hubert, M.C., and Eugene Carroll, and by sister Elizabeth Byrd, all of Bladenboro. She is survived by sons Tony and Todd Wike; daughters-in-law Lynn Wike, Kimberly Wike and Ronita Adams; grandsons Scott, Andrew and Robert Wike; granddaughters-in-law Melissa, Andrea and Autumn Wike, all of Omaha, Nebraska. She was particularly proud of her great-grandchildren, Addison, Peyton, Ashur and Charlotte, and was eagerly awaiting the arrival of another next spring. She drew special comfort from sister-in-law Janice Carroll and brother-in-law John Byrd Sr., along with nieces Bunnie Dowless of Bladenmboro and Jennifer Rowe of Greenville SC, and nephews Gene and Jeff Carroll, both of Bladenboro, and John Byrd Jr. of Birmingham, Alabama. Luella was laid to rest on Wednesday. December 4, 2013 in Omaha, Nebraska..
