Lori Beth Koch
November 17, 1970-November 15, 2025
Lori was born in Omaha, NE to Cherlyn K. Belmont (Lamb) and Milford C. Belmont (Colleen). She was the oldest of three siblings, Chris A. Nicholson (Belmont) husband William M. Nicholson, Shannon R. Belmont. Lori had two children with Phillip J. Williams. Tyler Williams (Kathy), Dakota Williams (Carly) and four grandchildren Hailey, Madilyn, Colton, Charlee.
She attended Benson High School (1988). She earned her bachelor's degree in criminal justice, driven by a desire to understand and support individuals and communities in need. Her commitment to service continued as she perused two masters' degrees- one in clinical counseling and the other in health and human services. These accomplishments reflected not only her intellectual curiosity but also her unwavering devotion to the wellbeing of others.
On July 14th, 2018, she married her now husband Shane M. Koch. Together they made their home in Council Bluffs, IA. A welcoming place where friends and family would often gather. She treasured her family deeply. She had multiple nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved, along with countless other family members who loved her. Throughout her life, she also made many cherished friends, each of whom grew to love her for her kindness, her humor, and her generous spirit.
Throughout the years, she has used her knowledge, empathy, and steady spirit to make a meaningful impact. Whether offering guidance, support or simply a listening ear, she brought comfort and clarity to those around her. Her legacy is one of compassion, resilience, and strength.
She will be remembered with love by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Her favorite color was green, a color that reflected her calm presence and warm heart. In her honor, the family kindly asks that you wear green to the service as a tribute to her life and the light she brought to the world.
Proceeded in death by her maternal grandparents Clarence E. Lamb, Shirley L. Lamb. Paternal grandparents Milford C. Belmont, Billie J. Belmont. Father Milford C. Belmont. Uncle Craig E. Lamb
