Llyle A. Sinnett, 90, of Millard, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2026. He was born on July 29, 1936, in Fremont, Nebraska, to Lyle and Velma Sinnett.
Llyle was the fifth of ten children raised north of Millard along the Union Pacific railroad tracks. He graduated from Millard High School in 1956 before proudly serving his country in the United States Army. During his three years of military service, he demonstrated the dedication and integrity that would characterize his entire life.
Following his honorable discharge, Llyle returned home to Millard and married his high school sweetheart, Nancy Woodling, on December 26, 1959. Together they built a loving home and raised four children: Amy, Andrea, Kent, and Kurt.
Llyle began his career working for Millard Lumber before being offered an opportunity to pursue finish carpentry. What started as a small opportunity became a lifelong vocation. For more than 40 years, he was widely respected for his exceptional craftsmanship, meticulous attention to detail, and strong work ethic. His handiwork can be found in countless homes throughout the Omaha area, serving as a lasting testament to his skill and dedication.
Above all, Llyle was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He found great pride in his family and cherished the time spent with those he loved. His quiet strength, generous spirit, and unwavering commitment to family will be remembered by all who knew him.
Llyle was preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Velma Sinnett, and his beloved daughter, Andrea Sinnett.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Nancy J. Sinnett; his children, Amy Hall, Kent (Jennifer) Sinnett, and Kurt (Molly) Sinnett; and his grandchildren, Taylor Hall Brentzel, Ian Hall, Reid Sinnett, Connor (Lexi) Riggs, and Hayden Sinnett.
