Linda L. Davis

8/6/1948 - 8/19/2025

Linda Lee Davis, affectionately known as Nin Nin and Gma Mac, was born on August 6, 1948, in Pawnee City, Nebraska, and passed away on August 19, 2025, at her home in Omaha, Nebraska, surrounded by her loved ones. She was the youngest of six children and led a vibrant life filled with passions, creativity, and love for her family.

Linda had a deep love for nature and could often be found exploring creeks, back road roaming in Southeast Nebraska where she grew up or at Miles’s Ranch wading in the water and rock hunting, always bringing her dog Saddie along for the adventure. She was an artistic soul, enjoying gardening, painting, woodworking, and sewing. A published poet, she expressed herself through both poetry and journaling. In her younger years, she delighted in exploring country roads, timbers and barrel racing all with her beloved horse, Tuffy. She was also known as a one-handed pool shark and loved finding “treasures” along the curb, bringing them home with much joy.

She is survived by her long time partner Jim Boynton, her three children: Robert Gunzenhauser and his wife Cheryl of Ashland, Ohio; Trent Gunzenhauser and his wife Darci of Des Moines, Iowa; Wendy Davis of Omaha, Nebraska. Linda has 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews who were all loved dearly by her. Not to mention all the family members she made and bonded with throughout the years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Esther Josephine Wonrow and Glen Robert McDonald; her daughter, Tammy; her siblings, Geraine, Eugene (Gene), Mary, Patricia (Pat), and Gary.
