HUNTER, Lillie L. 2/19/1925 – 3/16/2017 Age 92 years of Omaha Lillie L. Nelson was born in Texarkana, AR on February 19, 1925.She was the third of four children born to the late Willie & Lutee Nelson. On April 3, 1948, Lillie and Edward Hunter joined together in holy matrimony.This couple proudly raised four children, Ruby Agee, James E. Hunter, Billy D. Hunter, and Kathy L. Brye. Being committed to work, she worked various jobs throughout her years. After 11 years, Lillie retired in 1987 from Lozier. Lillie, affectionately known as Mother Hunter, accepted the Lord as her personal savior and filled with the Holy Ghost in the early 1970s.She was a faithful member of the Midwest Tabernacle of Deliverance C.O.G.I.C. under the leadership of Bishop Curtis A. Timmons and later became a member of the Robinson Memorial C.O.G.I.C. under the leadership of the late W. John Ford and current Pastor Jay B. Robinson. She served as a church mother and faithful member until her health began to fail. Mother Hunter enjoyed shopping, fishing, cooking, and spending time with her family. She loved testimony service at church. One notable statement she would make at the end of her testimony, she would say “Pray my strength in the Lord”. Mother Lillie Hunter “Fought A Good Fight and Finished Her Course” on Thursday, March 16, 2017.She was preceded in death by her parents Willie and Lutee Nelson, husband, Edward Hunter, siblings Pearline Frazier, Woodrow Nelson, grandchildren, Christine Agee and Steven Agee II. She leaves to cherish, her children Ruby Agee, James E. (Salema) Hunter, Billy D. Hunter, Kathy Brye.9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 6 great- great grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends. Visitation: Monday, March 20, 2017 after 4pm, with family present from 6-8:00pm, at Braman Mortuary (72 St. Chapel) Celebration of Lillie’s Life: Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 1:00pm at Robinson Memorial C.O.G.I.C.
