Leonard Douglas Hampton, 64 of Harvard Nebraska. Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Mary Lanning Health Care. Born in Luverne Rock, MN to Leonard and Mary Hampton (Allen) He was a professional truck driver for Dalhsten Trucking, Hinz Trucking and Kotwitz Trucking; he was known as Double H. For the next 30 years he was employed by the City of Harvard. He also enjoyed NASCAR, westerns (AKA: Rawhide) horses and everything automotive. He is survived by Colleene Hampton, Doug Hampton and Crystal, Travis Hampton and Theresa, Bobbi Hampton and Steve, 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and one sister; Elaine Grafing along with many other beloved family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers David and Bud Hampton. Donations will be accepted on Big Doug's behalf to be donated back to the city of Harvard for projects to be determined. Services will be at Saturday, April 30, 2016, 11:00 at United Methodist Church in Harvard with his Celebration of Life to follow at Hastings Elks Country Club.
