Kevin L. Gleason, age 62, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away peacefully in his home on December 18, 2025.
Kevin was born on May 30, 1963 and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. He attended Burke High School and built lifelong friendships there. As a young man, Kevin developed a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He loved fishing and camping, finding joy and calm in nature. A devoted Husker fan, Kevin could often be found cheering on the Huskers.
In more recent years, Kevin embraced what others jokingly referred to as his “mid-life crisis” — buying and riding his motorcycle. What started as a lighthearted decision quickly became something he truly loved. Riding gave him a sense of peace and joy embracing the freedom of the open road. Kevin also recently found what he proudly called his dream job at Peterbilt, where he worked at the parts sales counter. He took great pride not only in his work but in training and helping his coworkers, always eager to share his knowledge and lend a hand.
As a devoted follower of Jesus, he lived his faith daily through kindness and forgiveness. His relationship with Christ guided his life and gave him peace, strength, and purpose.
Kevin’s greatest joy and purpose, above all else, was his daughter Shelby. She was his rock, his constant, and the light of his life. Kevin loved Shelby with every ounce of love he had. His devotion to her was unwavering, and everything he did was rooted in that love. The bond they shared was deep, unconditional, and unbreakable.
Kevin passed away at 62 years old and is preceded in death by his parents, Merrell and Janece Gleason, whom he loved dearly and carried with him always. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Shelby (Dustin); his brothers, Dale (Marion), Gary (Sue), Keith (Amy), and Mark (Shelley); and many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will forever cherish his presence, stories, and steady kindness.
