Kay “Mammy as many new her” is survived by: Husband Bob Avila; Son Wesley Van Kooten; Daughter Anita Van Kooten, with life partner Brendan McHenry; Grandchildren in order of birth including their family; Justin Van Kooten-Smith, wife Bobbi Rae, children Emmett and Elliett Chase Van Kooten-Parmer, wife Vildana and daughter Ilvana Trevor Van Kooten, wife Maura, children Kollins and Kashton Tatum Harpenau, with husband Jayden; Surving siblings: Sister Barb Decker, Sister Bonnie Beck, Brother Lyle Williams, Brother Mike Williams, Sister Christine Hileman, Brother Bill Williams.
Mammy was preceded in death by parents Fred (went by Tarzan) and Mildred, brother Ray, sister Shirley and brother Fred. Up until the time Mammy retired, she was a great example of a hard worker. When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed spending time with family, camping, playing games, working in her yard, and occasionally dancing on the tables. When family was together or when you were near Mammy, she was a “doter”, making sure everybody had what they needed and were comfortable. She was a giver.
Thank you to all family and friends for the love and support you have given through this time of grieving. Her passing is an immense loss. Mammy has made an impact on many and will be greatly missed.
