Judy L. Ramer (July 26, 1946 ~ March 13, 2026)
Judy Lauraine Ramer, born Judy Lauraine Seid, entered the world on July 26, 1946, in Auburn, Nebraska, to Deloris and Francis Seid. She grew up on the family farm near Howe, Nebraska, where she developed the strong work ethic and love of family that would shape the rest of her life. Judy attended school in Auburn and graduated from Auburn High School in 1964. During her high school years, Judy’s vibrant personality and confidence shone brightly. She was crowned Hampshire Hog Breeders Queen, an honor that took her on her first trip to the national event in Chicago, Illinois. She was also crowned Miss Auburn, Nebraska.
On May 27, 1964, Judy married Michael Green of Auburn, Nebraska. Together they welcomed four children: Shelly, Tami, Kreg, and Erin. During these years, Judy and Mike made their home in Lincoln and Falls City, Nebraska. On June 20, 1985, Judy married Cork Ramer in Lincoln. Judy built a life centered on caring for others and expressing her creativity. She worked as the apartment manager at Chateau Apartments, provided childcare in her home, and spent more than 15 years working at Nationwide Insurance.
Judy was also an avid and gifted artist. For several years she shared her talent by painting murals and creating framed artwork for friends and family. Her creativity eventually led her to start her own interior design consultation business, Pizazz. Through her custom wall designs and distinctive artistic touches, Judy brought beauty and joy to many homes throughout the Lincoln and Omaha area. In 2015, Judy and Cork moved to Omaha.
Judy was the proud grandmother of 19 wonderful grandchildren and great-grandmother to 11 amazing great-grandchildren. Her legacy of strength, compassion, determination, humility, and deep love for her family lives on through them and through the many friends whose lives she touched.
Goodnight, Babe. I love you.
