SHADE, Joneen L. May 12, 1948 ~ September 19, 2017 Joneen passed away at the age of 69 after a short stay with Good Samaritan Society in Millard NE.She had fought a long battle with various health issues and lost the battle to NASH liver disease.Her final days were spent surrounded by her family.Joneen will be remembered fondly by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Joneen grew up and graduated from Big Springs High School where she was a cheerleader, twirler and played in the band.She attended one year of college at McCook (Nebraska) Junior College.Following her marriage, she and F.J. moved to Benkelman, NE where F.J. worked at the state trout hatchery north of Parks, NE.They moved to Omaha in 1968 where they lived and raised their three girls. They left Omaha and moved to Olathe, KS for a short time in 2006 and then back to Omaha to be near family in 2012 Joneen spent the last 50 years of her life as a wife to F.J. and a loving mother to her three daughters.She loved crafting, sewing, storytelling and going out to dinner with family and friends.She loved to do things for and with her girls and grand children and would attend every school and/or sporting activity they were involved in.She and F.J. loved to travel and were known to take a Sunday drive that might cover 300 miles.Their travels included numerous vacations around the USA and trip to New Zealand and Australia. Joneen was preceded in death by her loving mother Freda and father Don Tucker. She is survived by her husband F.J. (Floyd), daughters: Monique (Tripp) Fiala of Omaha, Krishna (Jeff Spicka) Clay of Elkhorn and Rakel (Chad) Reed of Bellevue and grandchildren: Nate, Wesley, Nellie, Barret and Devlon and her close friends Diane and Rick Moore as well as many other loving family members and personal friends. She made friends everywhere she went and treated all of her caregivers as family. There will be an informal gathering of family & friends on Saturday, September 30th from 10:00 AM ~12:00PM at Braman Mortuary Southwest Chapel.We invite you to join Joneen’s family and friends in participating in one of her favorite activities – telling stories. Memorial gifts may be made to F.J. who will determine at a later time where they will directed.
