Johnnie Mae Moore (June 6, 1943 – April 12, 2026)

Johnnie Mae Moore passed away peacefully on April 12, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., with her beloved son, Orlando Moore, by her side as she took her final breath.

Johnnie Mae was born in Montgomery, Alabama, and later moved to Omaha, Nebraska as a child, where she was raised in North Omaha. It was there that she built her life, married Eddie Moore, and devoted herself to raising and loving her son, Orlando. Johnnie worked hard throughout her life and loved even harder. She was a woman of strength, resilience, and deep compassion, always putting family first and opening her heart to those around her.

Johnnie is survived by her loving son, Orlando (Dianna) Moore; sisters Ella Webster and Margie Lewis; brother John Simmons; many cherished grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends who were blessed by her presence.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Braman Mortuary (1802 N. 72nd Street, Omaha, NE 68114) from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A graveside service will immediately follow and will be conducted by Dr. Jack H. Moore Jr. at Mount Hope Cemetery (7602 Military Avenue, Omaha, NE 68134).

Following the graveside service, all are invited to celebrate Johnnie’s life during a repass meal at Scando Hall (7575 Crown Point Avenue, Omaha, NE 68134) from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The morning gathering provides time for visitation with the family, while the main service will take place graveside, followed by a celebration of the love and joy Johnnie shared with everyone she knew.

Johnnie Mae Moore will forever be loved, remembered, and deeply missed. She will remain in our hearts always.
