Jessie L Benson

Jessie Laverne Benson, July 4,1935-December 21, 2025. She was the daughter of John and Helen Simpson and grew up in Peru, NE. She had 9 siblings. She met her husband, Stuart (Benny) Benson at Peru State College. They married and had 3 children. They moved to Omaha, where she took a job in Cafeteria Services with Omaha Public Schools, remaining there for 37 years.
Jessie passed away at the age of 90 and is preceded in death by her husband and seven siblings. She is survived by her children, Debra Hebrew (Ronald), Stuart Benson (Kathi), and John Benson, 5 grandchildren: Nicholas Hebrew (Jen), Emily Hardy (Tony), Jordan Benson (Lindsy), Kyle Benson (Kristus), Brent Benson (Sarah) and 9 great granddaughters: Birdie, Kamry, Bitsy, Kenna, Willow, Blakely, Klaire, Mia, and Rylee. She is also survived by her brothers Bill Simpson (Ronna), and Herb Simpson, her stepdaughter Joanie Orr and her 3 children Keith, Kyle, and Linae Orr Shepherd, as well as many living relatives and friends.
