Jerald V. Schroeder, 71, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2025. Born on April 8, 1954, in Eagle Lake, Minnesota, Jerry lived a life full of warmth, laughter, and quiet dedication to the people he loved.
A man of many skills and passions, Jerry found joy in locksmithing, bowling, darts, and volleyball. Known for his sharp wit and easy humor, he had a special talent for making others laugh, often lightening any room with a well-timed joke or friendly tease.
Jerry’s greatest pride was his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Michelle Schroeder; his children, Shayla Hall (Bob), Joshua Schroeder (Karlie), and Jerrod Schroeder (Samyra); and his cherished grandchildren, Nevaeh, Gabe, Evelyn, Zack, Morgann, Abby, and one more on the way. His legacy lives on in their love and the memories they carry forward.
He will be remembered not only for his humor and hobbies but for the kindness and strength he showed throughout his life. Jerry leaves behind countless friends and loved ones who were lucky to know him.
A Celebration of Jerry’s Life will be held on Wednesday, May 21 from 5-7 pm at Braman Mortuary Millard Chapel 6505 S. 144th St., Omaha NE.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Jerry’s memory by sharing a laugh with someone you love or helping a friend in need—just as he so often did.
