Janice Lee Fallon

Janice Lee Fallon (Ellison), known to most as Jan, of Omaha, NE passed away January 3, 2025 at her home with her loving family present. Jan was born April 19, 1942 to Harold and Marcella (Laub) Ellison at the Clarinda Municipal Hospital in Clarinda, IA. Jan lived with her parents on the family farm in East River township, southeast of Clarinda. Jan was later joined by sisters Connie and Marcia and brother Lyle. Jan attended Pleasant Valley and Fruits rural schools near her home and later graduated from Clarinda Community High School in Clarinda in 1960.

After graduating, Jan attended CE Commerce School of Business in Omaha. While living in Omaha, she met the love of her life, Edward (Ed) Fallon. Ed was in the Air Force, stationed at Offutt Air Base. Ed and Jan were married April 8, 1962. Their son, Edward (Edd) Lyle, was born while the couple was stationed in Santa Maria, California. Their daughter, Julie Marie, was born while the couple was stationed in Brussels, Belgium. When Ed was sent to Thailand, Jan, Edd and Julie returned to the family farm in Clarinda. After Ed returned from Thailand, the family was stationed in South Carolina, Turkey and England. Tragically Julie died while the family was stationed in England. Ed, Jan and Edd returned to the United States and settled in Omaha, NE to finish Ed’s career in the Air Force.

Jan enjoyed making each duty station a home and experiencing the uniqueness of each place such as learning to belly dance in Turkey, dressing herself and Julie in Dutch dresses and clogs and family camping trips in England, Spain and France. Jan’s passions were her be-loved dogs, working on genealogy, dolls and her three grandsons.

Jan is survived by her loving and devoted husband Ed, son Edd (Storm) of Craig, CO, grandsons Cody, Trace (Libbie) of Yelm, WA and Sean of Ft. Carson, CO, and great-grandson Lukas. Jan is also survived by sisters Connie Price of Omaha, NE, Marcia Franchett of Shawnee, KS, brother Lyle Ellison (Jeannie) of Clarinda, IA, nieces (Heidi, Stacy, Mikie, Dani and Megan), nephews (Heath, Richard and Stephen) and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Per Jan’s request there will not be any services held.
