Janet E. Talich

July 31, 1950 — May 4, 2025

Janet Eileen Talich (Lantzer), age 74, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving daughters on May 4, 2025.

Born on July 31, 1950, in Aurora, Nebraska, Jan was the daughter of Maurice and Iola Lantzer. She graduated from Aurora High School in 1968 and went on to build a successful career in sales, retiring in 2020 after many years of dedication and hard work.

Jan is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Lesa Phillips (Lenell) of Omaha, Nebraska, and Brandi Huebner (Jeff) of Columbia, Missouri. She was a devoted grandmother to Lexi Gibbs (Jamarr), Erin Talich, Elecia Jackson, and Kendall Phillips, Joli Hallowell (Ben), Danielle Bonge (Nick), and Thalia Huebner. She was also a proud Gigi to her great-grandchildren: Zion, Theodore, Carmen, Amar, Lonnie, Kendall, Karter, Stefhon, Ava, and Emma.

She is also survived by her four brothers — Dwayne, Lee, Daryl, and Merle Lantzer — and will be remembered by a host of extended family and dear friends.

Jan was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Iola Lantzer of Aurora, Nebraska, as well as her sisters, Marilyn Barber of Omaha, Nebraska, and Carol Baker of Bremerton, Washington.

Jan cherished time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her happiest moments were spent surrounded by family and friends. She loved going to concerts in the park, enjoying the outdoors, and gathering with her close-knit group of lifelong friends, affectionately known as “Club.” Her warm, social spirit made her the heart of every gathering and she would never show up empty handed, always providing the comfort of food. She had a gift for bringing people together, and her heart was always open to others. Jan’s warmth, humor, and fierce love for her family will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

In lieu of flowers, memorial's given to the family will be used in Jan's memory at a later date.

CELEBRATION OF JAN'S LIFE: Thursday, May 8, 2025 at 11:00 AM, with FAMILY RECEIVING FRIENDS one hour prior to the service, all at Braman Mortuary (Millard Chapel)
