Janet Ann Fielder, age 80, of Omaha, passed away May 25, 2025, at Country House Residence in Omaha, Nebraska. A private family viewing will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025.
Janet was born August 30, 1944, to parents Henry and Frances (Kaufman) Foxhoven in Earling, Iowa. She grew up and lived on the farm until she eventually moved to Omaha. Janet worked multiple jobs throughout her career, including Western Electric, Kmart, and First Data. After her retirement in 2015, she took several trips to visit family. Janet loved to read and work in the yard. Her biggest passion was her four grandchildren. She loved spending time with them and watching them grow up. In September, she found out she was going to be a great-grandmother, and she was over the moon excited to meet her first great-grandchild. She was fiercely independent and would have done anything for those she loved. Janet’s smile, compassion, and willingness to go the extra mile will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Janet is survived by her daughter, Christy (Chris) Nichols of Louisville, NE; son, Tom Fielder of Fremont, NE; sisters, Sr. Charlita of Milwaukee, WI, and Shirley Herbst of Earling, Iowa; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Frances Foxhoven; daughter, Marcy Ann Fielder; brothers, Richard and Les Foxhoven; and sisters, Carol Foxhoven, Betty Noonan, and Arlene Rolf.
