In Loving Memory of Janice Elizabeth Limbo
Janice Elizabeth Limbo, 79, entered into eternal rest on 10/10/2026. Born on July 28, 1947, in Los Angeles, California, Janice lived a life centered on the people she loved most. Whether she was caring for her children, spoiling her grandchildren, or opening her home to others, she found her greatest purpose in taking care of those around her.
Janice was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Charles L. Busch ("Larry") and Alice Allen Busch, and her sister, Catherine Bartel.
She leaves behind her beloved life partner, Robert "Bob" Rathe, with whom she shared many happy years. She is also survived by a family who will forever cherish her memory: her son, Scott Limbo and wife Summer; her daughter, Alissa Beller and husband Tim; her grandchildren, Jordan Armstrong, Ava Limbo and Fiancé Levi Mueller, Pierce Limbo, and Garrett Limbo. She is also survived by her niece, Aimee Jones and husband Todd, as well as her great-nephew, Drew Jones, and great-niece, Ashley Jones.
Janice graduated from Benson High School in Omaha and later attended Wayne State University. While education was important to her, nothing mattered more than family. She devoted her early years to being a stay-at-home mother, creating a loving home where Scott and Alissa were always her first priority.
Later, Janice built a successful career as the manager of The Choo Choo Bar & Grill in Millard, Nebraska. She was hardworking, dependable, and known for her ability to make people feel welcome. Many who worked with her or visited the restaurant remember her with great fondness.
When she retired in the early 2000s, Janice embraced what would become one of the most treasured chapters of her life. She became a full-time grandma. Her grandchildren filled her days with joy, laughter, and purpose. She lovingly cared for each of them and welcomed the children of family friends into her home. To many, she was more than a babysitter. She was a safe place, a warm hug, a listening ear, and a source of unconditional love.
Janice's family will remember her for the countless little things that made her special: her willingness to help whenever she was needed, the way she always put others before herself, and the love she poured into every member of her family. She found happiness in simple moments spent with those she loved, and nothing brought her more pride than watching her children and grandchildren grow.
In her later years, Janice faced a long battle with dementia. Though the disease gradually stole pieces of her memory, it never erased the love she gave throughout her life or the lasting impact she had on those around her. Her family remained by her side, grateful for every moment and every memory shared.
Janice's legacy is one of love, selflessness, strength, and devotion to family. She was a wonderful partner, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend whose kindness touched many lives. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials will go directly to the family for headstone.
"A mother's love is forever. It never fades with time and never leaves the hearts of those she loved.
