Jacqueline K. Hamann (Jacki), age 74, of Omaha, NE passed away on Monday, June 16, 2025 after battling Parkinson’s Disease for several years.
Jacki (Hunzeker) Hamann was born on December 10, 1950 to Clyde and Helen (Freeman) Hunzeker in Peru, NE. The oldest of 2 children, she grew up on the family farm. At age 11, they moved to Syracuse, NE and opened a family clothing store. She graduated from Syracuse High School in 1969 and went on to attend business school in Lincoln, NE.
Jacki met the love of her life, Wayne Hamann, in Sioux City, IA in 1980. They married on July 31, 1981 and settled in Mira Mesa, CA where they raised their two boys Dustin and Brandon. In 1993, they moved back to NE and enjoyed almost 44 years together.
Jacki was a mortgage loan processor for most of her career. She loved to travel, decorate and celebrate all the moments. She was a wonderful cook hosting many family gatherings.
Jacki retired in 2014 and was determined to spend her time relaxing in her favorite chair. She enjoyed reading, watching HGTV and playing with her cats. As a first time Grandma, she also loved spending time with her grandson Miles. When she was not warming her chair, she enjoyed shopping, going to lunch with her girlfriends and family time with her boys.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Wayne Hamann; sons Dustin (Keisha) Hassenstab and Brandon Hamann of Omaha, NE; grandson, Miles Hassenstab; brother, Michael Brad (Nancy) Hunzeker of Lake Elsinore, CA; many other relatives and friends.
Jacki was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Helen Hunzeker; mother-in-law, Margaret Hamann; father-in-law, William “Bill” Hamann; sister-in-law, Maj-Brit Hamann
Survived by husband Wayne; sons: Dustin (Keisha) Hassenstab, Brandon Hamann; grandson Miles Hassenstab; many other relatives and friends.
GATHERING OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS: Saturday, June 28, 2025 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm. at Braman Mortuary (Millard Chapel). A private family inurnment will be held at the Omaha National Cemetery.
