THRAEN, Iona M. – age 86 years of Omaha, went to be with the Lord May 27, 2008 Iona is a retired printer; her last employer was Unionist Printing. She served overseas during WWII with the WAC. Preceded in death by: Son, Michael L. Thraen All of her brothers and one sister Survived by: Husband of 60 years, LaVerne Children, Iona Thraen Thomas (Trisha) Thraen Jerome (Linda) Thraen Annette (James) Fisher, and LaVerne Thraen, Jr. Grandchildren, Clarice Timothy Matthew Ryan Clayton, and Andrew Visitation: Monday, 4:00 to 8:00 PM with a Vigil service at 6:30 PM at Braman Mortuary Funeral Service: Tuesday, 10:30 AM at St. Margaret Mary’s Church (6116 Dodge St.) Interment: Tuesday, 2:30 PM at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery in Westphalia, IA Memorials may be directed to the Arthritis Foundation (7101 Newport Ave., Ste 304)
